VP or Senior Director of Information Technology
Under the direction of the CEO, this position is responsible for and directs all activities of the IT Department for the corporate offices and over 200 restaurant locations, including management of the data center, Point Of Sale operations, telecommunications, and hardware and software user support.
Please note: This is the highest ranking position in the IT Department.
You must either live within commutable distance to the Carlsbad/San Diego, CA area or be willing to relocate if chosen for this critical position.
Our client will provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluates the capabilities and potential benefits of the most current technologies available and sets short and long range MIS/POS objectives, making informed recommendations for corporate strategic direction setting.
Performs analysis to determine the needs of the user community and then conducts software and hardware evaluations, selecting products that satisfy those needs and fit within the approved MIS/POS budget.
Appraises the productivity of the PSR information systems and the resulting reports, ensuring that they are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
Manages MIS/POS hardware implementation in the corporate offices and restaurant locations, coordinating with outside vendors, technicians and contractors, to ensure effective and efficient installation, training, and application.
Supervises and coordinates software conversions and new software development.
Makes informed decisions on the purchase of all PSR, Inc. computer hardware and software, ensuring that the purchased products meet the needs of the PSR users and that the maximum ROI is realized on MIS/POS capital investments.
Ensures a responsive, secure, and efficient computing environment, including reliable scheduled data back-ups, secured at an approved off-site data storage site.
Maintains a staff of highly qualified, motivated MIS/POS professionals to meet related implementation, usage, and support needs of the user community. Current staff of 3 is small but growing as needed.
BS degree in Computer Science/Technology Management.
Minimum 10 years experience in all phases of computer operations;
Restaurant or Retail experience strongly preferred
ERP implementation experience is required!
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to observe confidentiality.
Must be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about high technology and have a constant “need to know” attitude to capitalize on technology’s capabilities to streamline and improve upon corporation’s operations.
Base salary $90,000 to $150,000 plus upside earnings from a formal bonus plan with total earnings up to 170K.
